What do we need to certify before coming to camp?
Absolutely nothing! All certification will be done at camp including first aid, hikes, and items for each level in girls camp book.
Can friends come?
You bet! They must be girls between the ages of 12 and 18 as of July 16, 2013 and willing to follow the standards of dress and conduct asked of all young women who attend. They will need a permission slip signed by their parent.
What will sleeping arrangements be?
Each ward will be given a campsite with a fire pit, and a few cabins with bunkbeds. If you prefer to sleep in a tent, please bring your own. Each camper is required to bring their own bedding, and though many of the bunkbeds have mattresses, they don't all have mattresses at this point. You may appreciate an air mattress of some kind.

When is Bishop's Night?
Bishop's night will coincide with Young Women leader night. It will be held on Thursday, July 18. We will have a spiritual presentation entitled "Walk in the Footsteps of the Savior" followed by an opportunity for Bishops to join their wards in their various campsites and share a spiritual thought and dessert if they choose to bring it with them.
Do we get t-shirts?
T-shirts will be provided by the stake for the campers. If leaders are interested in buying a t-shirt, they may purchase them for $5, due at the time of registration.
Do I need a camp book?
Yes!! You must bring a camp book to girls' camp. Talk to your young women's presidency if you do not have one.
What should I wear?
Camp casual is the requirement for clothing. Jeans, t-shirt, hat/bandana, socks, and shoes is the recommended. If you prefer to wear capris or shorts, they MUST be to your knee. Shirts must have sleeves covering your shoulder. Swimsuits must cover your belly and sides. One pair of long pants is required for the hike. NO flip flops unless you are in the shower or going swimming. You will be asked to change if you are dressed inappropriately, so please act in accordance with the modesty rules. If you question whether or not it's ok, change. ;-)
Can I bring a cellphone, ipod, mp3 player, etc.?
No. Leaders will have phones. Please get the contact info of your young woman leader prior to the coming to camp and give it to your parent. There will not be a way to charge electronics, so you will need to bring actual scriptures (not electronic), and an actual camera (disposable, etc.) if you'd like pictures. Music will be provided by our lovely voices, and instruments on occasion.
I have special dietary needs...what do I do?
If you are concerned about what to eat, feel free to bring snacks and other food items, and a cooler if necessary to hold items you can/will eat. The stake is providing food for over 100 people, and will not be able to adjust to individual preferences. If you have a food allergy, please alert us on your registration form so we can be alerted to items that include ingredients you need to avoid on the menu.
Are there showers and flush toilets?
Yes! There are really nice showers and toilets. There are also latrines located near the campsites.
What should wards plan to bring for the campsite?
Wards will need to bring a dutch oven, hot pads, and a large spoon for dishing peach cobbler. You will also need to have tents ON RESERVE to sleep your campers and leaders (minus YCLs). We will likely not need very many tents, however please "reserve" a tent or two with those in your ward who have one available for your girls to borrow, and prepare to bring it if we let you know you will need it. We will let you know within the next few weeks if it will be needed. (We are waiting to see how many beds and cabins are completed via scout projects in the next couple of weeks, and that will determine how many girls will need to sleep in tents.) If your ward would like to plan on a tent regardless, please let us know! Wards are not need to bring any food, unless they'd like to bring snacks for their ward. Make sure to discuss whether your bishop will be bringing snacks to Bishop's night so you can be prepared with a snack if he is not providing one.
